Woodlands Camp
The property
A semi-permanent camp at Naabi Hill that follows the herds, twelve tents in an acacia grove, with the Gol Kopjes and cheetah plains for a backyard.
Pitched in an open acacia grove at Naabi Hill, the hinge between the southern plains and the central Serengeti, Woodlands is semi-permanent: it moves with the rhythm of the herds to stay in the best of the action. Twelve classic safari tents plus two two-bedroom family tents, stylishly dressed. Green season here means the Gol Kopjes, the Hidden Valley, and Africa’s cheetah capital on your doorstep.
I
Where it sits
Part-way up the southern slope of Naabi Hill, the gateway between the short-grass plains and the central Serengeti. Semi-permanent, so it moves with the herds; the hilltop gives the finest plains panorama in the park short of a balloon, and the Gol Kopjes are about half an hour off.
