Ndutu Lodge
The property
A storied 1967 lodge in a forgotten acacia forest at Ndutu, character over opulence, and the calving herds at the door.
Founded by George Dove in 1967 and long a haunt of authors, filmmakers and biologists like Jane Goodall, Ndutu trades opulence for character, history and honest comfort. Tucked into a pocket of flat-topped acacia forest on the edge of the Ndutu plains, it puts you in the middle of the calving, when the short-grass fills with newborns and predators.
