Lahia Tented Lodge
The property
A hilltop lodge with 360-degree views and sunset verandas, organic stone-and-timber design in the western corridor.
Set on a hilltop halfway down the Western Corridor with 360-degree views, Lahia blends natural stone, gnarled timber and thatch into living areas that feel like an extension of the bush. Sunset-drenched verandas and an unpretentious safari-chic soul, with the thundering hooves of the migration below in season.
I
Where it sits
On a hilltop midway down the Serengeti’s Western Corridor, above the Mbalageti River valley with views that run a full 360 degrees. The corridor is the migration’s western artery toward Lake Victoria, so from roughly May into July the herds funnel through the country directly below the ridge.

II
The rooms
Twenty-five thatched chalets spaced well apart for privacy, each with polished hardwood floors, a separate sitting area with love seat and writing desk, and a sunset-facing private veranda.
The country around it
Serengeti National Park
